Bringing Home Baby

I've never been one to stay long in the hospital after having a baby, and this time was no different.  Candace was doing well, I was doing well, and we checked on out of there a little after 1 pm on Tuesday, July 12.
Candace and I spent the morning relaxing while Dan and the girls went to my parents' house to wait for me to call.  Here is our little one just before heading out.

 Mommy and Candace

Daddy and Candace

All wrapped up in the blanket made by her Granny...

Peeking out...

Since we got out of the hospital early in the day, we decided to spend the afternoon at my parents' house.  Megan and Brooke got to spend the afternoon playing with cousins and swimming with Daddy while I got to nap, hold my little one, and hang out with my siblings.  We had dinner with everyone and then headed home a little after 5 pm.

Julianne and Candace--Julianne is 11 and was such a great helper with all of our girls.

We headed home with a FULL car!  3 little girls (a three year old, a one year old, and a one day old) in the back of our 1999 Chevrolet Malibu.

Our good friends who watched Megan and Brooke when Candace was born made this sign to welcome us home.  The balloons are from Shad and Amy.

3 Beautiful Babies.  How did the older 2 get so big?

All snuggled into her bed at home--she slept pretty good for a baby who was only 36 hours old.
