Wednesday, Animal Kingdom Day!

On Wednesday we headed to the Animal Kingdom park.  Ridemax suggested that we use the entrance gates inside the gift shop, and it was a great tip.  We were the only ones in the gift shop and we got in quickly and walked straight to Expedition Everest.  It was the ride we'd heard the most about from my Dad and brothers and we knew we wanted to ride it more than once!  So in the first 45 minutes or so, both Dan and I rode it twice.

Hanging at the gift shop...

After patiently waiting for us to ride Everest, Megan and Brooke took turns riding Kali River Rapids--they had a blast.

This was day 3...these girls were starting to fall asleep all over the place.  Candy conked out waiting for the bird show to start.

Megan looks so tired! Ha!  But she made it through the show.

The girls loved climbing these elephants at the train station in the park.

The train took us over to this petting zoo.  The kids loved it...it was a lot like the one at the Houston Zoo!  But we were glad to see them have fun and there were picnic tables nearby for lunch.

While we took turns on other bigger rides, we took Candy to this gravel pit area.  She was in HEAVEN!  For a one year old, this was her Disney highlight.

We went on the Safari bus ride.  Dan and I enjoyed it.  The kids enjoyed their naps :)

Animal Kingdom had some really fun shows.  The Lion King show was fun, but our favorite show by far was the Finding Nemo musical.  We loved it, the kids loved it, it was a blast.  After hitting just about everything in the Animal Kingdom park, we used our park hopper pass to head back to the Magic Kingdom for their fireworks show.  It was spectacular and even though it was crowded, we had a pretty good viewing spot.  The girls all woke back up for it and loved it.

The big girls were restless waiting for the show to start, so I took each of them on a walk down MainStreet USA.

We got to see Tinkerbell fly and the colors and fireworks were so fun.  It was a great end to a great day.
